Power BI: Neue Business Intelligence-Möglichkeiten für Office 365 und Excel
Mit Power BI wurde auf der Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 in Houston ein neuer Self-Service Business Intelligence-Dienst vorgestellt, mit dem sich Geschäftszahlen und andere Daten mit Excel und Office 365 abrufen, auswerten und visualisieren lassen.
Power BI ist dabei ein ganzes Set an cloudbasierten Diensten wie Power Query oder Power Map, auch die bisher bereits bestehenden Power Pivotund Power View wurden in Power BI mit aufgenommen. Für Excel steht Power Query als Addin im Download Center zur Verfügung, Power Query und Power Map lassen sich als Preview installieren.
Eine öffentliche Preview-Version von Power BI soll noch in im Sommer 2013 erscheinen, bis dahin versorgt der offizielle Power BI-Blog alle Neugierigen mit aktuellen News und How-tos – wie beispielsweise einer ersten Einführung in Power BI.
